    Makar Original Glasgow Dry Gin

    MAKAR Original Glasgow Dry Gin
    at our January 19th Gin Experience & Lunch Event

     

    Since 2014:

    The Glasgow Distillery Company first released this award-winning gin back in October of 2014. Their self proclaimed 'Juniper Led' spirit is exactly that! Which is why it's been revered by mixologists all over the world as an outstanding base spirit for classic gin cocktails. Gin lovers enjoy Makar Originals simple perfect serve; due to its authentic recipe and flavour profile.

    Makar Botanical

    KEY BOTANICALS:

    Juniper, Coriander Seeds, Angelica Root, Cassia Bark, Black Pepper, Rosemary, Liquorice, Lemon Peel.

    NOSE:

    Invigorating fresh pine and eucalyptus, floral and herbal rosemary notes with touches of zesty lemon citrus.

    PALATE:

    Robust juniper supported by citrus and savoury notes, black pepper spice with hints of liquorice contributing to a fully rounded and balanced mouthfeel.

    FINISH:

    Long smooth dry finish, with notes of angelica and lingering warm pepper spice and rosemary.

    GARNISH:

    Medium strength green chilli or lime.

     

    Cocktail Feature; 'Meet Your Makar'

    Ingredients:

    50ml Makar Gin
    30ml Lime Juice
    30ml Elderflower Presse (or St Germain if preferred)
    125ml (or less) Soda Water

    Makar Cocktail
    Method:

    Muddle ingredients (excluding soda) in a boston shaker with ice. Strain into stemless wine glass over cubed ice. Top with desired amount of soda water. Stir and garnish with a slice of cucumber.
