On the nose: Pear, lemon, vanilla biscuits.
On the Palate: Deep fruity pear lead into orchard fruits and lemon meringue, with a hint of yellow plum too.
Finish: Quite drying, though still sweet with vanilla and a peaty tang.
This12 year old peated malt from the Loch Lomond distillery, released under the Inchmoan name. Born from a combination of malt whiskies from their traditional swan neck pot still to create an unconventional peat character with a lot of depth laced with smoke and spice.
On the nose: Mint leaf, burnt wood, a hint of medicinal peat.
On the Palate: Spicy as it opens, with plenty of black pepper and cinnamon. Soon enough, layers of toffee develop to balance it out.
Finish: Fruitier notes arrive on the finish.
