Recipe from our latest Stylish Saturday, Cocktails and Lunch Event
Bourbon is not often considered a classic 'ladies who lunch' tipple. But credit where credit is due, this classy Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey went down as one of the favourite cocktails featured by our fantastic host Emily of Hi Spirits UK
at last weekend's 'ladies who lunch with cocktails event'

Ancient buffalo carved paths through the wilderness that led America's first pioneers and explorers westward. One such trail led to the banks of the Kentucky River where these guys have been making bourbon whiskey the same way for over 200 years.
7 times named Distiller of the Year - this bourbon is a tribute to all that is uniquely American, a celebration of the country's textured history, its fight for freedom and independence and its fierce pride governing its heritage. Inside each bottle is the essence of courage, a sense of adventure, a quest for the unknown, and a thirst for discovery. This is the legend and legacy of rich ancestry, captured and embodied by the Buffalo Trace Distillery.
We love this distillery's claim to fame...
'We proudly hold the title of the oldest, continually operating, distillery in America, remaining operational even during Prohibition—for “medicinal” purposes.'
Cheers to that!
Rich in history and hospitality Buffalo Trace apparently has something to offer everyone. The distillery sits on 130 acres with four centuries of architecture represented on site. The grounds are beautifully manicured all year long with colorful blossoms in the spring and vibrant foliage in the fall.
Sounds spectacular! But for the time being, I will need to just enjoy this cocktail here in sunny Glasgow!
