Nov 2009: The Culinary Excellence programme received a special guest......
The Culinary Excellence programme was developed by Glasgow District Council and education services to help prepare school pupils to work in the hospitality industry. The programme is now in its 7th year at Chardon d`Or.
This year it was school pupils from Lochend Secondary school who have been talking part in the Culinary Excellence programme here at Chardon d’Or for the past 8 weeks. Last week the group was lucky enough to get a visit from Michel Roux Jnr who took the time to speak to them about the industry and encourage them into thinking of it seriously as a career.
The twelve pupils will be serving and cooking for their teachers and member of the Glasgow hospitality industry at a lunch held at the restaurant on Wednesday 5th October. We are sure it will be a huge success.
Nov 2009: It has been a busy month for our Private Dining Rooms
November was a busy month for Brian Maule, as well as our Christmas preparations we have had a number of parties this month in our private dining rooms. Each events varied from Canapé and Cocktails and corporate networking parties to more intimate private dining, for family dinners and special occasions such as birthdays and even the odd wedding!!
October was also extra special for us as it also played host to a private dinner in the restaurant with special guest Michel Roux Jnr, who even did a cookery demonstration with Brian on the evening.
Over the years we have been lucky enough to host numerous successful events and always enjoy planning the next one, if you are thinking of hosting an event in the future why not contact us and we can tailor an evening to your required needs.
